Daniel Sarciat was born in Madrid, to an Andalusian family, and at the age of 17 he settled in Barcelona, ​​a city where he developed his interest in the arts. This curiosity to know the nature of art has led him to explore the disciplines of theater, film, music, writing, painting, photography and design.

His childhood in Madrid in the 80’s of the “Movida Madrileña” of transgressing what was established. The urban market of “El Rastro” in which he immersed himself among objects, furniture, watches, pieces of lives, absence, the passage of time, movement and agitation is impregnated in the memory of his private newspaper archive.

His work seeks a narrative, a fable which uses objects, disciplines, scenes that, like dramaturgy, build a story for the viewer.

Behind the stories and with the fantastic drama built around an object, images (drawings, paintings, photographs), sculpture or anecdote serve to resonate in the soul of those who observe.

There is a game between artistic disciplines which are juxtaposed in the service of the story told.

A love for the poetics of the everyday, the natural, the beauty of the moments that serve to launch a pulsating reflection that resonates in the textures, shapes and color of his paintings is evident.

A desire to resonate with what surrounds us, to feel that we are alive.
